The photographs are extremely clear and detailed, some to the point of making me squeamish. Basic information is presented on a variety of topics about a leech’s life, along with some specific facts of interest – for example, a leech can feed on enough blood in one sitting equivalent to a person eating 1,000 hamburgers. A glossary of bold typed words and web resources are included at the back.
