Editorial Review

A noteworthy review of Space Neighbors from Library Media Connection on October 1, 2011

Cover: The Sun

Our solar system is an amazing place and this series will help readers learn more about it. All of the books are well planned and follow the same format with Fun Facts sprinkled throughout. Crisp, clear photos of planets, moons, spacecraft and telescopes, are the focal point of each page. Each book has a full-page view of our solar system, showing labeled planets and the sun, with facts about the book’s subject. Some vocabulary words are repeated in the books, making it easy to use only one book during a science unit or purchase only a few books in the series. Teachers and students will enjoy learning interesting facts about the planets, in addition to historical tidbits of how planets were discovered or named. These are beautiful books, both in visual appeal and content for young readers. Bibliography. Glossary. Websites. Table of Contents. Index.
