Infolink Book Evaluation Program (Marla Slifer)

This is a deceptively simple book that will present very young children with a good deal to think about. It explains in simple text, the design and theories behind the set-ups of modern zoos. The full page photos are generally clear. (The exception is that of the mother gorilla who recently rescued the young boy who fell in the gorilla enclosure). A cavorting cartoon figure on the right-hand page gives extra interesting facts. A glossary at the end explains terms that may be unfamiliar. Sure to be enjoyed by this age group and their adults.
